MY WILD OCCUPATIONS
Enjoy the beauty of nature as the flowers bloom
As I put on my new clothes and my favourite perfume,
A desire to take a walk to the beach on my resume.
Build sand castles and take a selfie and share it
on social media I assume.
To get numerous likes and a billion followers
along with a few comments to make room.
Drink coffee at Starbucks talking to my friends
and surfing through Google.
For I would like to shop online which is my favourite
pastime or doodle.
Also buy books on Amazon and eat Maggie noodle.
Compare the price list of new clothes on Myntra with Meesho,
Or go to the nearest subway and eat my customised burrito.
Visit a temple with my mother and on the way eat Pani Puri,
Take in the gentle breeze of the evening without worry.
Count the pedestrians and eat chips sitting at the balcony.
Break the piggy bank longing to buy a mobile,
Wear those six yards of silk to look nice.
Visit the Inox or PVR and lol in that plush chair,
Spend money on popcorn without care
Sleep late till the afternoon during the holiday
Slurp up good from the new restaurant without dismay.
Watch my favorite serial and cry,
Laugh at the boys wearing a bow and a tie.
Doll yourself like a Barbie and pretend,
Swear on never having a boyfriend.
Tell a lie about your age and follow any Instagram page,
BTS or Taylor Swift and in music do engage.
Feel the vibes of your natural surroundings and relate,
Brag home a dog or cat to take care.
Help the needy or the poor and dream to dare
Attend a Kung Fu class and practice Karate,
Frequently use Paytm or Gpay.
Play indoor games like chess,ludo or carrom
Embrace the solitude of your own kingdom.
Everyday is a new journey.Each day a new beginning.
Celebrate independence.Agree and Accept.
