Summary

In a tale of lost love, enduring friendship, and the pursuit of dreams, Sheena and Debanjali's unbreakable bond transcends life's divergent paths. Sandip's arrival sparks memories, but choices and fate keep them apart. Amidst struggles, they seek solace, while Rahul and Debanjali's family thrives. Destiny reunites them, but can they bridge the chasm between them?

Debanjali used to stay in various places like Bangalore, Delhi for job purposes. She had thought she would never return to Kolkata. Sheena had never got a family but had made a promise to herself that she would make Debanjali meet with her family and would try to solve the misunderstandings. She would not let her friend suffer and keep her out of all the pain she was going through.

Sandip liked Sheena very much but couldn’t say, and he had decided to tell her at the party today. She had stopped thinking about herself as she knew to be alright. Her family meant her son, who was her whole world. She had fought with many people for being a single mother, but her son had filled her with all the happiness of the world.

Coming out of the ocean of her thoughts, Sheena felt someone had kept a hand on her shoulder and turned and saw Debanjali saying,” I don’t know in which words to thank you for all you have done for me.”

Sheena: “Will you go now? You are saying this? Luckily, I have got a very good friend like you, and I don’t want anything else. Who has told you to think all these things? Let’s go forward in our life.”

Debanjali is very happy with Rahul today. The two friends share some past stories with each other, and Debanjali says out of fun,” when will you invite us for your marriage?”

Sheena: “Again you started saying those nonsense stuff, and now you have again got back to your own form, I am sure, and you take care of your husband now (says with laughter).”

Debanjali realized what she has just talked about and feels ashamed,” I am sorry I didn’t mean to say like that… actually.”

Sheena fails to understand why Debanjali is sorry.

Sheena: “This is not done now you will get a scolding from me if you say sorry again, no thanks, no sorry to your own people. It’s your day, be happy and enjoy.”

The party ends for the day. In the meantime, everyone had finished their dinner, and their friends take their leave.

Debanjali: “From nothing to what all happened in my life, everything happened for you. If I was angry, it wouldn’t have happened. Life is beautiful just like it was before. After you came into my life, all the wrong things happened right just as I had wanted.”

Sheena: “Stop, stop… you don’t have to think very much about your future. Concentrate on your present. This is just like some filmy Bollywood scene (laughs full of happiness). Too much emotional drama and full of seriousness.”

Debanjali: “Again, you started…”

Sheena: “Look at him, our groom has totally fallen silent.”

Rahul smiled hysterically: “No… not at all… you also started.”

Rahul thinks that he will prepare a special dish for his beloved Debanjali after a long time, just as he used to do. When Debanjali used to be too busy with her office work till late at night, he fed her with his own hands, and that had a different feeling. She too loved it.

Three of them returned to Bangalore for their jobs and became busy with their schedules. One fine Sunday afternoon, Debanjali found an old thing, and suddenly when Rahul came, she hid it. She became thoughtful, seeing her tense, Rahul asked,” anything happened?”

Debanjali: “No, nothing, you want to say something? (not letting him know) Actually, I am looking for a file, I need it urgently.”

Rahul: “It’s been a long time we didn’t go anywhere, we three can go for an outing.”

Debanjali: “We both and who is the other one? Sheena? She had called me yesterday she has a seminar for a week, so she can’t come.”

Rahul: “Then we both and some of our friends can go.”

Debanjali: “Okay fine, I have no problem. Let’s go during the coming puja holidays; till then Sheena can also join us.”

On the other hand, Sandip calls Sheena one day.

Sandip: “Hi, how are you after a long time?”

Sheena: “Hello, yeah, your number is saved. Hmm, I remember we were in the same group in college…”.

After this, for some long hours, they talked with each other. Now every day they called. Sandip knew everything about Sheena and wanted to accept her in the same way as she is. But he is not sure whether Sheena loves him or not. From the college days, he didn’t have the courage to confess his feelings for her, but he had loved her always.

From that day, Rahul and Debanjali started living together in the same flat along with Sheena. The

three of them were having coffee in the morning.

Rahul: “Debanjali told me yesterday, Sheena, you want to talk to me. I think, if I am not wrong, it was all about settling everything between me and Debanjali, but before we had a discussion, it took only some hours for fortune to turn in favor of us and make both of us together.”

She will have a happy married life, the dream she has always liked to live. After some months, the date for their marriage got finalized in front of their families. In between, Rahul, his parents, and their friends had met with Debanjali’s father and made him understand. They had decided to do a registry at first, then to do the marriage with all the rules and culture.

Debanjali very strangely got to know about the relationship between Sheena and Sandip, but she was in doubt about Sheena’s side. She called her up,” are you happy?”

Sheena: “About what?”

Debanjali: “Do you love Sandip or not? Tell me clearly, I heard it from some of our colleagues.”

Sheena: “Wait, I am coming to your place; I will tell you everything.”

She arrives, and Debanjali pulls her.

Sheena: “We have been talking to each more than a month, we have met also. He has told me he knows everything about me, everything about my son as well, and is ready to accept me as I am. And you already know he lives with his mother, his mother knows me, and he will tell her about the rest of my story. If she agrees, we will continue our relationship. And I have divorced my husband; let’s see what happens. I don’t know what to do, I don’t have the courage to face the trauma again, I think I have done a mistake. I shouldn’t have engaged in a relationship.”

Debanjali: “You should have asked me once.”

Sheena: “I can’t ask you and then fall in love.”

Debanjali: “No, I didn’t say like that… I am very tense about the situation created now and what you said now.”

Sheena: “I need to talk to him once.”

Debanjali: “It’s the matter of your life, I think you and your son were happy earlier and will be now without this relationship. I understand Sandip is a good guy, and he will be by your side whatever decision you take. There is simplicity, but it can increase complications.”

A call comes; Sheena goes into the other room to attend it. Debanjali thinks she should talk to Sandip once on this matter and ask what he thinks, whether he would be able to keep Sheena happy. Sheena had done more than what she thought and would never her alone. Debanjali tells Sandip to come to her house and informs Rahul about it.
