“You find fun in every matter, give me the key of the car, give me fast…”. She snatches the key from Sheena and goes towards the car.
Sheena: “Wait for me, listen…”.
Debanjali: “You don’t try to talk to me once more also. How could you do this to me without asking me? You could have discussed it with me.”
Sheena: “I am sorry, but you are telling me in a way that if I told you, you would have said yes. Tell me the truth, do you not wish to talk to Rahul like before?”
Both of them can see a sky full of dreams outside the window.
For the evening’s party, they decorate the full house very nicely and keep the snacks and drinks ready.
Sonia: “You guys know, I bought a five to six thousand makeup set last month only.”
Rita: “Wow, I also bought a necklace set a few days ago…”.
Sheena: “Have you guys finished your beauty discussion? Let’s go and dance.”
Everyone in their friend circle knew Sheena said something in a rough tone when she didn’t like a thing. But she was very clear from her heart. She told whatever came to her mind. She was a very good friend of all, was good at painting and could do handicrafts. People who knew her respected her a lot.
Rahul comes to the party with his friend Sandy.
Sandy: “What a party, yaar.”
Rahul looks at Debanjali and tells Sandy: “Rich people have this kind of lavish party but they fail to share each other’s sadness and like to show off always. I am standing here; you can go inside.”
Sandip tells Rahul: “Hii meeting after a long time, what’s up, come and have a drink.”
Rahul: “No thanks, I am not feeling like drinking.”
Sonia asks Sheena: “Where is Rahul and Debanjali, on whose honor the entire party has been arranged?”
Sheena takes Rahul to a side and asks him: “Have you brought the thing which I asked you to?”
Rahul: “Again, what?”
Sheena: “Your engagement ring!!”
Rahul: “Don’t do this; it will be very bad.”
Sheena: “I will manage, don’t worry.”
Sheena takes Debanjali with her: “Come with me.”
Debanjali: “Where, why… no, I will not go.”
Sheena decides to make an announcement: “So, friends, I want to request two important persons of my life, Rahul and Debanjali, to come and stand by my side. Lots of good wishes so that they live happily and peacefully together in their life.”
Both of them look at each other. Debanjali says: “Why did you do this again, tell me.”
Rahul: “I warned you before about what can happen.”
Seeing other couples, she can understand the failure of love in her life. Like others, she wants to be happy with the beloved person of her life. She loves to be working for her career always, but even if she rejected so many times, Rahul wants to return to her life every time. The relationship they had before had become complicated in the present time, and she had understood that the true love which is there now is pure and gives her freedom to breathe.
Many things had changed; she wants to make her life simple but beautiful. Their togetherness will be special. That dream she has only seen. She doesn’t know the future, whether they will get married or not, but the whole life she will love Rahul. Their eyes met, and they had a silent conversation of their thoughts among them.
Sheena thought after Debanjali telling her so many times not to do all these things, but she had done it twice. She shouldn’t have done like this. She was going to do the last announcement but saw Rahul and Debanjali coming forward with hand in hand.
Sheena cried with joy; today she realized even if her husband went away, leaving her, she could make her best friend Debanjali’s life very happy. Much earlier only she had promised this thing to herself, and today she has finally done it.
Sheena had lost her parents at a very small age; after her parents had been divorced, nobody agreed to take her. She was given the responsibility of a child home. Some couples had shown interest in adopting her, but she denied to go with them as it was difficult for her to accept somebody else as her parents when she already knew the reality, and it was too cruel for her.
She never imagined that she wouldn’t get any one of them as her guardian, and for the rest of her life, she wouldn’t get her parents’ love. She again couldn’t take any more pain. She had got the news of her parents’ death after nine days of their passing away.
She used to do tuition for her living and to continue her studies. After coming to college, she had a sudden meet with the group of Rahul and Debanjali. Both were famous in the college. After that, the three had a deep friendship. Debanjali came from a rich family, but she had a big heart and was honest. They were a year senior than Sheena. It was the first day of Sheena’s college; she and Debanjali had collided with each other. She was known for her polite and silent nature, and everyone called Debanjali a spoiled girl because of her over makeup she does and goes to the college.
Whenever Sheena went to the practical class, she often saw Debanjali scolded by her professor, and when the class ended, with anger she went out of the class. Debanjali used to talk a lot. Now both are opposite. Sheena talks a lot, and Debanjali has become quiet because of her family problems with her relationship with Rahul. In this engagement, her parents were to come to bless them, but their daughter wanted to do a love marriage without her father’s permission, and moreover, she had moved out of town for a job and lives in a flat with her friend.
Her father never agreed and just allowed for her studies. He thought girls are meant for marriage and only with his choice. He used to send money at first and only wanted to keep the relationship in that case, to take that responsibility as a father. Her mother used to cry every day to see her daughter once, her father had restricted if his wife kept a relationship with their daughter she can’t keep a relationship with her husband. Sheena thought Debanjali’s mother as her own only as she had lost her mother long before, she had kept contact with her friend’s mother and used to call her every day, and her mother used to say one thing: “I am suffering between father and daughter’s argument and can’t take it any longer.”
