I Hear Whispers in Rakchham by Akash Majumder

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

“People who come to Rakchham either have a dark past or about to make one”

Rakchham: A village with a dark past and and ominous legends that terrorizes the people of the village since the 1980’s when a couple – a girl was burnt to death and the boy almost beaten to death. Its a tale of revenge.

Every year a girl disappears in month of June without any trace. Assigned to this mysterious case, Tejas Bakshi puts his life on the line. On the other hand, Jay Seth, a final year college student, meets a girl, Prisma who happens to know a lot about Rakchham?

But what if Prisma isn’t Prisma? Then who is she?

The unthinkable is going to happen when Jay Seth decides to visit Rakchham himself. Will everyone’s life be put on the line? Or everything he ever know about his family was all a lie???

The book was easy to read and fast-paced. It can also be read in one sitting and keeps you hooked and waiting to know more of the answers. The book will give you chills and make you keep thinking of who’s actually the ANDHIRA (the ominous legend). No one can be trusted in the village of Rakchham.

If you love horror mystery thrillers, then this should be you go-to-book ! I’m in awe of the author’s @authorakash writing, the simple words, building up mystery with each ongoing page and some silly funny lines that made the book look less scarier!
